We are a small family-owned ranch settled on 15 acres in Van Zandt County, owned and operated by Thalia and Austin Gillham.
Thalia was born and raised in Belize. She grew up in ranching and has always loved working with horses. She moved overseas for some years before moving to the US. While attending Stephen F. Austin State University, Thalia continued to work with horses throughout the rest of her academic career. She led trail rides, gave lessons in riding, and hosted pony parties for children. In addition to this, Thalia was also an active team member of an equestrian drill team that rode in the Nacogdoches Rodeo and the Veteran’s parade, and she took part in judging horses based on their conformation.
Austin was born and raised in Texas. He’s a retired Marine who is currently enlisted in the National Guard and he worked as a Highway Patrol Officer. Austin has had some exposure in ranch living. While his studies at Stephen F. Austin State University focused on Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement, Austin suddenly found himself fully immersed in the equestrian world. He became very passionate about horses and has helped Thalia train and care for horses in his spare time. His favorite thing to do is work with “project” horses that are in need of a little extra care and attention because he can bond with them and watch them transform into a picture of health.
While their passion is horses, Lynn’s Meadow is also home to various livestock such as goats, pigs, chickens, llama, Alapaca, and livestock guard dogs. We pride ourselves in providing the best care possible for our horses and other farm animals.
